The Private View
Conceived
after a meeting with the production team of 'How to Look Good
Naked', this
most recent venture for the TGD Group of
companies needed an elegant cutting-edge site featuring an
array of the latest technologies, including an embedded Flash video
and attractive gallery effects. It was also important that this
site, whilst being distinct, had the same feel as their other three
sites. Working closely with the client we were able to produce a
site unique in it's feel whilst retaining their corporate image.
Sutton & District Training
With
our sister company,
Mosaic Art &
Design, already employed to revamp this client's printed
material; we needed to create a website that was corporate in that
the branding was recognisable to those who had only seen their
printed material; but at the same time sufficiently flexible in it's
design to contain a lot of information whilst being intuitive. The
other challenge was that the site had to appeal to both learners,
employers and people within the Training Industry. A clean, modern
and fresh design was called for; making use of large graphics and
images.
Green Drainage Services
Tasked to provide a clean easy to navigate site, attractive to both
Business and Residential customers. It was felt that a news section
would provide some 'sticky' content to encourage visitors to keep
returning to the site. A testimonials page was suggested as
customers are often initially wary of contacting tradespeople. The
site clearly sets out the services that Green Drainage Services are
able to offer to both domestic and business customers. The clients'
contact details are displayed on every page in addition to a
dedicated 'contact' page which includes a simple enquiry form.
Pat Delaney
Working
as both a freelance showjumping instructor and BSJA registered
coursebuilder, this clients' website needed to clearly distinguish
between the two separate areas of his business. A short resume of
his career was included in the home page to add value to those visitors
who were not aware of his achievements and experience. A page featuring
photographs of courses that he had built and another with videos of
courses being jumped was also included. A 'links' page was
utilised to
encourage reciprocal links back.
Emma Wickerson
Designed
to encourage sponsorship for this 'up and coming' young showjumper; it
was felt that the site needed to be professional in it's appearance as
well as providing the facility for Emma's forthcoming competitions and
results to be displayed. Again links from the homepage not only
encourage reciprocal links, but also adds credence to the proposition by
detailing her experience from a young age.
Boogie Nights
Built
to reflect large banners designed by our sister company Mosaic Art &
Design, this site needed to be both simple and eyecatching with an
element of 'fun.' The client was keen to make the information clear and
not full of jargon. A 'party advice' page was also added as was a
testimonials page. Again, a links page was also included, not only to
encourage reciprocal links, but also to highlight some of the venues
where he had worked and also to introduce other complementing businesses
with whom he had worked.
Beechwood Riding School
One
of our very first clients, this website is now on it's third
reincarnation, having recently benefited from a major 'makeover' to keep
it looking modern and fresh. A regularly updated news and diary events
page means regular customers keep coming back, but also gives first-time
visitors an idea of some of the activities available. The gallery page
has always proved popular with new and existing clients alike, however
this time we set up a 'Bebo' site for the client which allows the
younger riders to become more involved, posting their own pictures and
comments.
Share-a-Horse
With
the aim of producing a fun, colourful, lively site; aimed predominately
at children, but also to appeal to adults. A comprehensive 'gallery'
section includes both candid photos and portraits to show not only the
animals but also give an idea of some of the fun activities undertaken.
The home page gives clear pricing and terms as well as some images
showing different features of the business. Again the inclusion of a
Bebo site (designed and maintained by one of the older children) appeals
to the younger sharers whilst making them feel 'included' in the
business.
Other Clients
Below are some examples of other sites designed and maintained by WebDesigns2000 in the past.
Countryman Vehicles
A
complete re-design of this customer's website to reflect their changing
stock profile and their appointment as an approved RAC warranty supplier
was required. A fresh new look was needed whilst being accessible. A new
more descriptive domain name was also purchased to improve search
engines rankings. A dedicated stock page was created for each vehicle
incorporating a ten image slideshow plus important information for each
vehicle, such as insurance group etc. A 'site photo' was also used on
the home page to reassure potential customers.
Mosaic Art & Design
Our sister company, Mosaic Art & Design,
needed a website that emphasised the two distinct aspects of it's
business; as both a Graphic Design studio and to showcase Lesley's paintings and drawings.
These two areas can be accessed separately by
creating two 'microsites', with the ability to access each individually
using an elegant and simple navigation technique from the homepage. Both areas
are quite different in terms of their design, recognising the different
nature of the visitors.
TGD Group
| We have carried out a recent
revamp of two of the
three websites for the TGD group of companies: TGD Weddings, TGD
Photos and TGD Features. As a photographer, it is important that their websites are not only informative but also artistic in their presentation whilst being easy to navigate. We were able to work closely with the client on all three sites
to help realise his own designs and themes. Although all three sites
promote the client's work as a photographer, each has a different
target audience. It was important, therefore, that each reflected
TGD's corporate image whilst working on a standalone basis. |
We are currently working on several other projects - keep checking back here to see them as they are launched.
